At Sunset Kennels we are committed to only working with top quality Labrador retrievers. Our philosophy is not only to work with well bred dogs but to produce a dog that is genetically sound, pleasant to be around, easy to train, intelligent and an asset to own. We have a very select limited breeding program at our facility we focus only on quality not quantity. We research all of the stud dogs we use for a multiple of desirable traits before deciding which sire would best compliments our females.

Over the past 25 years we have enjoyed working with our personal dogs. Whether it would be hunting with them, competing with them or just letting them sleep on the foot of the bed, we have applied our experience and developed a phenomenally sound breeding program along with our head start puppy program to come up with a winning combination. We have a solid, sound, practical training program that we start implementing while they are still all litter mates at approximately 5 weeks of age. Our puppies are well socialized, introduced to birds, gun fire and water (weather permitting) before going to their new homes. They all will have their first shots, wormed 3 times, vet checked and come with a written health guarantee. All of our pups go though our formulated proven Sunset head start puppy program regardless if we plan on keeping them for our own personnel use or selling them.
